Disna is an accomplished immigration attorney who specializes in business immigration. She helps small and large businesses to navigate through the complex immigration system and to secure appropriate visa status for their international employees. Disna has extensive experience working in the business immigration field and she advises corporate clients on the impact of immigration policies and regulations on their employees. She provides thorough legal analysis to her clients’ cases and demonstrates step-by-step guidance to achieve the desired results. Disna has written several articles on immigration and has addressed international students at universities. In addition, she has conducted virtual CLE speaking engagements on PERM and presentations on Naturalizations. Her work experience prior to immigration includes working as a judicial extern and a staff member to Late Hon. James R. Cavanaugh and Hon. John T. Kelly in the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, and the Legal Department of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
Being a native of Sri Lanka, Disna has substantial personal relationships with the US immigration process. She speaks “Sinhala” the native language of Sri Lanka. Disna has twice received the Empire State Counsel honorary title from the New York State Bar Association and a Certificate of Achievement Award from the American Immigration Lawyers Association for her contributions to the local immigrant community. She is a graduate of Widener University School of Law, Delaware and also a member of the New York State Bar since 2007. She is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. She is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
